First 24–48 Hours: Critical Care Period
The first two days after your appointment are the most important.
-
Do NOT get lashes wet
-
Avoid steam, saunas, hot showers, and sweating
-
No swimming
-
Avoid crying if possible
-
Do not touch, rub, or sleep on your lashes
Water and heat can weaken the adhesive before it fully cures, causing premature shedding.
Daily Lash Care Routine
To keep your lashes looking fresh:
-
Clean your lashes 2–3 times per week (or more if you wear makeup or have oily skin)
Use a gentle lash cleanser or oil-free foam cleanser. -
Brush daily
Use a clean spoolie to gently brush lashes into place. -
Sleep smart
Sleep on your back when possible. Avoid smashing your lashes into pillows. -
Be gentle
Pat dry—never rub. Treat your lashes with care.
Products to Avoid
Certain products can break down lash adhesive:
-
Oil-based cleansers
-
Waterproof mascara
-
Creamy eye makeup
-
Heavy moisturizers near the eyes
-
Makeup wipes with oils
Always choose oil-free, lash-safe products.
Makeup & Mascara Guidelines
-
Mascara is NOT needed on extensions
-
If used, apply only to the tips (not the base)
-
Use water-based mascara only
-
Do not use lash curlers
Less makeup equals longer-lasting lashes.
Activities to Be Careful With
Be mindful when doing the following:
-
Heavy workouts and sweating
-
Frequent swimming
-
Hot yoga or steam rooms
-
Long hot showers
If you do these regularly, expect slightly shorter retention.
Refill Schedule
To keep your lashes full and beautiful:
-
Book refills every 2–3 weeks
Longer may require a full set.
Consistent fills equal better results and lower long-term cost.
Do Not Do This
-
Do not pull or pick at lashes
-
Do not cut lashes
-
Do not attempt DIY removal
-
Do not sleep face-down
-
Do not use strip lash glue
Pulling extensions can damage your natural lashes.
